Annette Volk

Hello, my name is Annette Volk. I serve as a Board Member with Insight Matters and as the Director at Altruistic Recovery. I hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology (2012) and a Master’s in Addiction Counseling (2016), and I have spent many years working with individuals and families facing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and involvement in the corrections system.

I am passionate about creating opportunities for growth, healing, and second chances. For me, the most rewarding part of this work is seeing the small, meaningful successes people achieve as they move through fear and discomfort toward a healthier life. As a board member, I am honored to help guide Insight Matters’ mission of strengthening families, supporting youth, and expanding access to mental health and recovery resources across Idaho and Oregon.
