Payette County Behavioral Health Coalition
1P Kids Succeed
Our youth are facing a mental health crisis. Things like 24/7 access to social media, vape companies marketing to kids, and easy access to recreational marijuana across the border have created new pressures. And these outside influences are putting their well-being and future at risk in the very place we hope they’ll live, work, and thrive.
This Coalition is where people, data, and hope come together to keep our kids safe—and give them the skills, tools and opportunities they need to succeed in Payette County.
our goals
We’re starting with these clear, practical goals:

-
Increase community collaboration by bringing residents, youth, schools, families, law enforcement, businesses, nonprofits, and elected leaders together.
-
Prevent youth use of nicotine, marijuana, and alcohol.
-
Help youth and families build resilience by increasing access to mental health tools and resources—based on community feedback and delivered through trusted local networks.
-
Create opportunities for youth to lead, grow, and thrive—through community connection, mentorship, and real-world experiences that keep them rooted in Payette County.

About The Coalition

1P Kids Succeed Coalition is a residents-led group working to prevent youth substance use and support youth mental health across Payette County. We meet, listen, gather data, and take action—together. As a local provider of prevention education and parenting classes, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Insight Matters Inc. saw that these efforts weren’t reaching the whole county—especially in rural areas. So we applied for grant funding and launched this coalition to bring everyone into the conversation.
