We’ve Been Featured in CADCA’s Coalitions in Action
We are thrilled to share that 1P Kids Succeed Coalition was spotlighted in CADCA’s “Coalitions in Action” newsletter, a national platform that highlights community coalitions making measurable impact in substance use prevention and youth well-being. CADCA+1
This recognition is more than just a highlight, it’s an affirmation of the vision, collaboration, and hard work by many in Payette County and beyond. We’re honored to be included among coalitions across the country who are driving change in their communities.
What Is CADCA’s Coalitions in Action?
CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) supports thousands of local coalitions working on prevention strategies and community-level change. Their Coalitions in Action series profiles coalitions doing innovative work, sharing successes, challenges, and lessons learned with a national audience.
To be featured is to have our efforts amplified — reaching other coalition practitioners, funders, and organizations across the prevention field.
Our Journey & What This Feature Represents
When we formed 1P Kids Succeed Coalition earlier this year, our goal was clear: to help local youth grow up healthy, engaged, and empowered — in environments that support their success.
Being featured by CADCA is a milestone marker. It signifies:
External validation of our approach and progress
Visibility in the national prevention community
Inspiration and accountability to continue doing better
Encouragement for our partners, volunteers, and youth who make this work possible
Highlights & What We’ve Accomplished So Far
Building Partnerships Across Sectors
We have worked to build relationships with local schools, law enforcement, health services, faith-based groups, youth organizations, parents, and more. These partnerships help us align prevention strategies and resources.
Listening & Assessing Community Needs
To guide our efforts, we’ve conducted surveys, focus groups, and community listening sessions. These have helped us identify priority areas (e.g., substance use prevention, mental health supports, youth engagement) and tailor our actions accordingly.
Early Projects & Campaigns
In our first months, we’ve launched initiatives like:
Awareness campaigns in schools
Parent/family education workshops
Youth forums & peer leadership groups
Community events to foster connection and resilience
What’s Next
We are excited to expand further: deepening youth leadership, applying for additional funding, measuring outcomes, and scaling efforts. Our inclusion in CADCA’s newsletter gives us fresh energy and confidence as we push forward.
A Big Thank You to Our Community
Our coalition is powered by countless volunteers, partner organizations, parents, youth, and community members. This recognition belongs to all of you. Your time, voices, ideas, and trust have made this possible.
We also extend gratitude to CADCA for their platform and for supporting coalitions nationwide. Their spotlight helps spread tools, models, and encouragement across communities doing prevention work. CADCA+1
